Beyonce has become the first international star to sign up to perform at the Brits, according to reports. The Sun said that the singer’s appearance at London’s O2 will come just a few weeks after she plays America’s Super Bowl. A source said: “Beyonce coming to The Brits is a huge coup for organisers.

“She’s among the best live pop acts on the planet and will have brand new material to play for the audience. “The last time she played The Brits, nine years ago, was at the start of her solo career, singing Crazy In Love. So it’s apt that she’s back this year.”

Beyonce will join One Direction, Mumford And Sons, Robbie Williams and Muse in the line-up on February 20. The newspaper also said a big-name duet will also be announced for the event, hosted once again by James Corden.

Nominations for the 40th American Music Awards were announced yesterday.

Beyonce is nominated for “Favourite Female Artist Soul/R&B” along with Mary J. Blige and Rihanna.

Christina Aguilera, who announced the nods Tuesday morning in L.A., is also the first performer announced for the telecast, which airs live from the Nokia Theatre on Nov. 18 at 8 p.m.

For the sixth year, winners will be determined by online voting, which begins Tuesday. Vote for Beyonce now!!

Nominees have been announced for the 2012 Soul Train Awards. Beyonce is nominated for Best R&B/Soul Female Artist And Best Dance Performance For “Love On Top”.
