Beyonce is back!

Making her long awaited post-baby stage debut, Beyonce was in fine form as she took the stage for the first time since giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy while putting on a concert in Atlantic City, New Jersey last night (May 25). It’s been nine months since Beyonce last performed for her adoring fans. Showing off her post-baby curves in a showgirl-style, fringed bralet and tiny shorts, the 30-year-old wowed the sold-out crowd on the first of a three-night stint at the Revel Resort & Casino in Atlantic City.

Bee confidently greeted the sold-out audience at Ovation Hall at Revel Resort & Casino while opening up the show with “End of Time” before transitioning into “Love on Top”.

When all was said and done, Beyonce had cranked out a whopping 27 song setlist including covers of Whitney Houston‘s “I Will Always Love You” and Lauryn Hill‘s “Ex-Factor”.

Giving his lady a big thumbs up, Beyonce’s rapper hubby, Jay-Z, took to Twitter at the conclusion of the concert while writing, “I’m gonna say this and then I’m gonna end mine. BEYONCE is the best performer in the world. Period.”

CBS News anchor Katie Couric is releasing a book called “The Best Advice I Ever Got: Lessons from Extraordinary Lives” and she mentions an advice she got from Beyonce.

“Knowing who you are is the greatest wisdom a human being can possess. Know your goals, what you love, your morals, your needs, your standards, what you will not tolerate and what you are willing to die for. It defines who you are. I have learned not to obsess over being number one all the times. Sometimes not being number one gives you the incentive and the courage to fight harder; it is motivating. Have patience. Have grace. Be secure enough in yourself to base success on personal growth.

Take at least twenty minutes every day to be still and quiet. Time to sit in complete silence. Think. Reflect. Dissect your thoughts and feelings. Relive any mistakes from the day before. Decide how to be smarter and tougher, how to be more committed and considerate of others and more sensitive and aware of your surroundings. Choose something you learned that will make you a better person.

Choose to be happy and positive. Live like the blessed human you are.

Define you.

Knowing who you are allows you to create your own beautiful legacy.”

Five months after giving birth she is set to take New Jersey by storm this weekend for 4 days! The Revel performances are promising to show a new side to Bee, along with a new interactive stage. Check some behind the scenes footage of the making of the show, which she shared on her official site. This clip is only Part 1 of 2 so lets hope another video will be dropping soon.

Beyoncé remained adamant about her return to the stage,

“I’m enjoying being a mother, so it’s like going back to my old job. It’s a little strange, but it’s important that you don’t lose yourself and have your own passions. I’m back to work. I’m back to business.”

The First Lady was recently asked by People magazine who would she be if she had to be someone else. Michelle said: “I’d be Beyoncé.” Considering the pop star once penned an open letter of admiration for the First Lady, it’s safe to say the feeling is mutual.

Meanwhile, President Obama voiced his approval of Beyonce’s husband in a Atlantic article. Asked whether he prefers Kanye West or Jay-Z — the longtime collaborators headlined the Grammy-winning album “Watch the Throne” last year — the president smiled and answered “Jay-Z.”

The Bee Gees were an early inspiration for me, Kelly and Michelle. We loved their songwriting and beautiful harmonies. Recording their classic song, “Emotion,” was a special time for Destiny’s Child. Sadly we lost Robin Gibb this week. My heart goes out to his brother Barry and the rest of his family.

Love,
B

Robin Gibb died on 20 May 2012, at the age of 62 from colorectal cancer. Destiny’s Child hit “Emotions” was orginally written by Bee Gees.
