Michelle Obama is with the single ladies this weekend: The First Lady is at a Beyonce concert in Atlantic City.

One of Beyoncé’s biggest fans – the first lady of the United States – was in the audience for the singer’s sold-out performance Saturday night at the new Revel in Atlantic City.Michelle Obama, in a sleeveless green dress, and her daughters, Malia and Sasha, took their seats minutes before the 10 p.m. show started.

Although rumors that Obama was jetting to Atlantic City for the concert were rampant all day, publicists for the White House, the Revel, and Beyoncé were mum. “I can tell you Gov. Christie will be here, if that helps,” said a Revel spokeswoman.

R&B singer Luke James’career began buzzing a little over a year ago, and now he’s on his way to having a career hotter than a Lousiana summer.

The New Orleans native recently received a call breaking the news that he would be opening for Beyonce’s highly anticipated Memorial Day Weekend Revel Concert in Atlantic City, and it’s all seemed like a whirlwind of rehearsals and amazing music since.

Bursting onto the scene with his breakout hit “I Want You,” Luke James has been working non-stop to fulfill his dream- music.

GlobalGrind managed to catch up with Luke during his rehearsal time with Beyonce to chit-chat about opening for King Bey, going to school with Frank Ocean, and of course the juicy stuff-sex.

GlobalGrind: How did you end up linking up with Beyonce?

Luke James: Well, basically, that all happened through my manager, Frank Gatson who works side by side with her throughout her career. She’s known of me since I’ve started in this business and what not. And I guessed it just felt right. My manager approached her with the option of using me as far as an opening act and she agreed. So, that’s basically how it happened.

Beyonce is back!

Making her long awaited post-baby stage debut, Beyonce was in fine form as she took the stage for the first time since giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy while putting on a concert in Atlantic City, New Jersey last night (May 25). It’s been nine months since Beyonce last performed for her adoring fans. Showing off her post-baby curves in a showgirl-style, fringed bralet and tiny shorts, the 30-year-old wowed the sold-out crowd on the first of a three-night stint at the Revel Resort & Casino in Atlantic City.

Bee confidently greeted the sold-out audience at Ovation Hall at Revel Resort & Casino while opening up the show with “End of Time” before transitioning into “Love on Top”.

When all was said and done, Beyonce had cranked out a whopping 27 song setlist including covers of Whitney Houston‘s “I Will Always Love You” and Lauryn Hill‘s “Ex-Factor”.

Giving his lady a big thumbs up, Beyonce’s rapper hubby, Jay-Z, took to Twitter at the conclusion of the concert while writing, “I’m gonna say this and then I’m gonna end mine. BEYONCE is the best performer in the world. Period.”

CBS News anchor Katie Couric is releasing a book called “The Best Advice I Ever Got: Lessons from Extraordinary Lives” and she mentions an advice she got from Beyonce.

“Knowing who you are is the greatest wisdom a human being can possess. Know your goals, what you love, your morals, your needs, your standards, what you will not tolerate and what you are willing to die for. It defines who you are. I have learned not to obsess over being number one all the times. Sometimes not being number one gives you the incentive and the courage to fight harder; it is motivating. Have patience. Have grace. Be secure enough in yourself to base success on personal growth.

Take at least twenty minutes every day to be still and quiet. Time to sit in complete silence. Think. Reflect. Dissect your thoughts and feelings. Relive any mistakes from the day before. Decide how to be smarter and tougher, how to be more committed and considerate of others and more sensitive and aware of your surroundings. Choose something you learned that will make you a better person.

Choose to be happy and positive. Live like the blessed human you are.

Define you.

Knowing who you are allows you to create your own beautiful legacy.”

Five months after giving birth she is set to take New Jersey by storm this weekend for 4 days! The Revel performances are promising to show a new side to Bee, along with a new interactive stage. Check some behind the scenes footage of the making of the show, which she shared on her official site. This clip is only Part 1 of 2 so lets hope another video will be dropping soon.

Beyoncé remained adamant about her return to the stage,

“I’m enjoying being a mother, so it’s like going back to my old job. It’s a little strange, but it’s important that you don’t lose yourself and have your own passions. I’m back to work. I’m back to business.”

The First Lady was recently asked by People magazine who would she be if she had to be someone else. Michelle said: “I’d be Beyoncé.” Considering the pop star once penned an open letter of admiration for the First Lady, it’s safe to say the feeling is mutual.

Meanwhile, President Obama voiced his approval of Beyonce’s husband in a Atlantic article. Asked whether he prefers Kanye West or Jay-Z — the longtime collaborators headlined the Grammy-winning album “Watch the Throne” last year — the president smiled and answered “Jay-Z.”
