After giving Gwyneth Paltrow a birthday shout out during her guest appearance at Jay-Z’s final Barclays show last Saturday, Beyonce joined her actress pal in NYC this week to celebrate her 40th birthday.
Bey was spotted making her way to Elio’s restaurant on the Upper East Side where Gwyneth was toasted by a party that included her mother, actress Blythe Danner, plus stars like Cameron Diaz, Ethan Hawke, Chelsea Handler, Steven Spielberg and Kris Wiig, according to THE YBF. Bey was escorted by her bodyguard, leaving Jay and Blue Ivy at home for the night.
This week the singer/actress confirmed that she will no longer be starring in Clint Eastwood’s remake of “A Star is Born,” after many scheduling conflicts. She released a statement on Tuesday explaining that she dropped out of the project due to her busy schedule. “I was looking forward to the production of ‘A Star Is Born’ and the opportunity to work with Clint Eastwood,” she told E! News. “For months we tried to coordinate our schedules to bring this remake to life but it was just not possible. Hopefully in the future we will get a chance to work together.”
