Speaking of banner years, Beyoncé definitely had a great 2013, and it looks like her 2014 will be just as busy and prosperous.
Hot on the heels of the platinum success of her latest album, the rumors have begun swirling that Mrs. Carter will be performing at the 2014 World Cup with legendary Beatle Paul McCartney!
The rumors first began swirling back in September, when a reputable Brazilian reporter broke the news. His word was taken seriously because he was the first, and the only, Brazilian reporter to correctly report about Beyoncé’s tour of the country at the time. According to The Examiner, Ancelmo Gois of O Globo, a major newspaper based in Brazil, said McCartney and Beyoncé would both be playing Brazil next year in concerts to coincide with the World Cup there in 2014. The show has not yet been officially announced by Paul McCartney.
“Beyoncé e Paul McCartney vão voltar ao Brasil em 2014. Eles farão o megashow da Copa do Mundo na Praia de Copacabana,” he wrote. A rough translation from Google: “Beyonce and Paul McCartney will return to Brazil in 2014. They will make the World Cup mega concert on Copacabana Beach.” He said FIFA and Control Room are organizing the shows.
What’s not clear, though, is whether the two will perform together or where the two will have separate performances for the same event. A video put out by Brazilian newswire Globo suggests that they will, indeed, perform together, but definitely not for a duet. The same site reports that the two superstars’ performances are part and parcel of “great cultural attractions.”
How do you think this is all going to go down — duet, or separate performances? Leave your thoughts in the comments below! And, from everyone here at The Latin Post, we wish you all a safe and prosperous new year!
We don’t know about you, but Beyoncé and Jay-Z had lots of fun yesterday night during New Year’s Eve party with friends. They danced (click here to see a video of Beyoncé dancing her own song: “Yoncé”), rode on a motorcycle, sang, took several pictures with friends and had an amazing dinner. Check it out:
Beyoncé and Jay-Z were spotted in Miami, Florida, visiting leaving Wynwood Art District after lunch. She posted some personal pictures from there that you can see in her Instagram (01, 02, 03, 04 and 05). The High Quality candids you can check out clicking the thumbs below:
The video compilation part. 4 is out now! It’s called “Liberation”. Beyoncé says how she can live being a mother and a professional at the same time. She also talks about how fun was to make “Partition” and other sexy songs and music videos. That’s all about it beats and sexiness. Check it out below:
LAS VEGAS — Roaring into an opening weekend for Britney: Piece of Me, her new two-year residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, the onetime fixture on the charts and in tabloids romped through a 24-song spectacle that brought out fans such as Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus, both of whom owe Spears a rump-shaking debt.
But backstage prior to Friday’s kickoff, Spears pointed admiring fingers anywhere but at herself, telling USA TODAY that she “looks up to Beyoncé, what she did with her (surprise release) album was genius, really brilliant.“
We just added to the gallery the photos of Beyoncé and Jay-Z posing with fans after lunch in Miami. She posed with Gloria Gaynor in one of these photos and looks simply beautiful. Check it out:
There are certain indisputable truths in life, and the fact that Beyoncé can pull off just about any look is one of them. In the videos for her eponymous visual album, the star showcased a wide variety of hairstyles, ranging from her pixie that rocked the world to her trademark long waves — and just about everything in between. Eager to get the details on each look, InStyle caught up with Bey’s hairstylist Neal Farinah, who created 15 out of the 17 dynamic looks for her videos, and has been working with Knowles for seven years.
“We have had such iconic moments together,” he told InStyle.com exclusively. “I’ve worked on campaign and publication shoots with her, she was the first female artist to headline at Glastonbury, and I had the opportunity to do her hair for both presidential inaugurations. It was a historic moment — she sang for Barack Obama and the First Lady, and it was hard to explain how I felt at that moment, because while I was doing her hair, I feel like I was representing everyone, and I felt proud and very grateful.”
As if working on 15 of her new videos didn’t keep him busy enough, Farinah was simultaneously working with Beyoncé during her Mrs. Carter World Tour. Filming often took place on the same day as a show, and the multiple hair changes — her pixie and long bob included — always kept fans guessing what she’d try next.
