It has been revealed that Beyonce’s new self-titled album ‘Beyoncé’ was illegally downloaded 240,000 times in the first 10 days since its release, resulting in $3.8 million of lost revenue for the singer!!
The record, which was released on December 13, also clocked up just under a million legitimate sales in the same time period, reports Billboard, putting the surprise release at the top of the American Billboard chart for the two subsequent weeks.
The report also states that the former Destiny’s Child singer’s entire back catalogue has been shared more than two million times using BitTorrent downloading sites. As well as recent downloads of her eponymous new release, the album has also spurred downloads of the singer’s older albums; on December 15, more than 11,000 downloads of previous Beyoncé albums were also downloaded, which accounts for more than five times the number accessed the day before the singer’s newest release.
TheBeyonceWorld.com is not supporting illegal downloads! Go to stores and buy it now! It’s so worth it!
“Beyonce” sold 991,000 in its first 10 days and is (so far) the 12th biggest-selling album of 2013.
Beyonce’s new self-titled album remains unstoppable on the Billboard 200 chart, as it spends a second week atop the list.
“Beyonce” sold 374,000 copies in the week ending Dec. 22 (down 39%), according to Nielsen SoundScan. It bowed at No. 1 on the previous week’s chart, after only three days on sale, with 617,000 sold.
The album was released on an off-cycle Friday, Dec. 13. Its debut on the chart a week ago came from sales in the week ending Dec. 15.
Thus, in its first 10 days of release, “Beyonce” sold 991,000 and is (so far) the 12th biggest-selling album of 2013. There is one more tracking week left in the year — the week ending Dec. 29. It’s likely that “Beyonce” will finish 2013 among the top 10 sellers (all of which have sold at least 1 million this year).
“Beyonce’s” debut was fueled by sales only from the iTunes Store, as the album was exclusively available through the retailer until the end of last week. After that, the set went on sale through all traditional sellers of music, including brick-and-mortar establishments. (Notably, both Target and Amazon.com declined to sell the CD version of the album.)

Beyoncé and Jay Z may have tried to recreate their “Drunk In Love” visual after invading Greenhouse nightclub in New York City on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24). The First Couple of Music were spotted in the packed hotspot as Bey’s self-titled visual album blared in the background.
Blue Ivy’s momma recently wrapped the North America leg of her shows at the Barclays Center on Sunday (Dec. 22), while Hov continues his Magna Carter World Tour takeover, stopping at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Ga. Friday, (Dec. 27).

Beyoncé made a dying girl’s day earlier this month. The pop star, 32, who recently released a sexy secret album, posted a video on her YouTube page of terminally ill cancer patient Taylon. In the video, the wheelchair-bound girl, whose dying wish was to dance with Jay Z’s wife, said, “I am having so much fun. I can’t wait to see Beyoncé.”
At the Las Vegas show Taylon attended, a blue, sparkly-suited Beyoncé swoops into the audience and lands right in front of Taylon, bringing her to tears. The two sing “Survivor” together, and the tears continue even after the singer eventually parts ways onto the stage.
