This week marks the start of Beyoncé’s sold-out Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, but it’s not the only thing the superstar launches this season. She’s also got a huge campaign for H&M, shot in the Bahamas and featuring her new song, “Standing on the Sun,” available on hm.com this May.

One special piece Beyoncé models in the ads? A tie-dye bikini that’s part of the H&M for Water collection, which donates 25% of sales to the international charity WaterAid.

Despite her busy (and oh-so-fabulous) life, Beyoncé told ELLE.com about her newest campaign. There are also two exclusive behind-the-scenes images from the fashion shoot, where legendary photographers Inez & Vinoodh and filmmaker Jonas Åkerlund collaborated with the pop star. Last night was Bey’s second concert for ‘The Mrs. Carter Show’ tour in Zagreb, and Tony was in attendance along with the rest of the Beyhive having a great time. Tony emailed us about the great experience that you can read about below:

This was the night of my life. Even now I can’t believe what just happened. I was really close to the stage. Beyonce opened the show with ‘Run the world’ and fans go crazy. She also sang End of time, Flaws and all, If I were a boy, Baby boy, and so much more. Every video that goes in between the songs, when B is changing clothes is amazing. I need to say that Beyonce has the best dancers in the world. I love them. Bey was giving fans a towels and her water that she drink! And after the show her drummer was throwing sticks to the fans. It was really amazing. I still don’t believe that I had the chance to see Beyonce live. If you have a opportunity to see Beyonce, go, you won’t regret it!

Be sure to follow Tony on Twitter! If you want to be featured on the site with a review from the tour just email us at BwFanBook@gmail.com and tell us about your full experience!

Beyoncé has been named an ‘Icon’ by the 2013 time’s 100 list. Take a look below to see what Baz Luhrmann Had to say about the entertainer!

Beyoncé contributed a song to the Great Gatsby soundtrack, and I(Baz Luhrmann) worked with her quite intensely some years ago on the Academy Awards. When I met her, I was struck by her warmth and her humility; she was surrounded by family and was always family-oriented. For the Oscars, she had to learn some extremely difficult choreography, and she just had that incredible work ethic where she was in the door, hit the number, let’s go, let’s work. Just work.

When all the work is done, she can step onto a stage and draw every single person in the audience into an intimate experience. No one has that voice, no one moves the way she moves, no one can hold an audience the way she does. And she keeps growing and evolving in the ways that she expresses herself as a singer, as a performer and now as a mother.

She and Jay Z are the royal couple of culture, and she is the queen bee. She’s gone beyond being a popular singer, even beyond being a pop-cultural icon. When Beyoncé does an album, when Beyoncé sings a song, when Beyoncé does anything, it’s an event, and it’s broadly influential. Right now, she is the heir-apparent diva of the USA — the reigning national voice.

Luhrmann’s new film, The Great Gatsby, comes out May 10

Luke James is packing his bags and heading overseas. Beyoncé has personally chosen the New Orleans singer as the opening act for the European leg of “The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.”

He will join the pop icon beginning April 24 in Paris, France, through May 29 in Stockholm, Sweden, with the exception of Oslo, Norway.

“Luke James is a gifted singer and songwriter and what he does on stage with his pure falsetto is incredible,” said Beyoncé. “I am excited to have him join the tour and to introduce this soulful singer to an audience in Europe that will be discovering a true star.” Read the rest of this entry »
