Is the long-rumored Beyonce and Jay Z joint album actually going to appear in 2015? Noel Fisher, the producer known as Detail, seems to think so, coyly telling Billboard on the Grammys red carpet that the album is coming, and that the blockbuster LP could very well drop before the end of the year.
“I’m working with a couple of new projects that I don’t want to unveil, and then me and Beyonce and Jay Z are actually doing something together this year,” said Detail, who won his first career Grammy on Sunday (Feb. 8) when the pair’s “Drunk In Love” won best R&B song. When pressed about the collaboration, which has been rumored for months, Detail grimaced and said to expect a proper full-length.
“When you think of Jay and Bey together, you think ‘album.’ You should already know,” said Detail. Asked if that album was going to arrive this year, the producer diplomatically replied, “In my imaginary mind, I will work to say it’s true.”
Beyonce and Jay Z toured stadiums together last summer as part of the On The Run tour, following the 2013 releases of their respective albums, Beyonce and Magna Carta… Holy Grail. Beyonce’s self-titled album lost out to Beck’s Morning Phase for album of the year at the Grammys this year.
